Install Ubuntu to the PC using the created Ubuntu bootable USB.

The way to create the bootable USB is described in the below article.

Environment

I prepared an unuse PC.

• Dell XPS 8920
• 2.5inch SSD 128GB

BIOS setup

While holding down F2, turn on the PC and enter the BIOS setup. Set the below options in Boot tab. (Key to press is different from the maker.)

Option	Value
Boot List Option	UEFI
Secure Boot	Disabled
Load Legacy Option Rom	Disabled

After completing the settings, press F10 to save and exit the config.

Mount the bootable USB

After turning on the power, press F12 to set the USB flash drive in boot mode.

Install Ubuntu

Select "Try or install Ubuntu" in GNU GRUB. Note that you must select the correct SSD in #6 below.

1. Select "install Ubuntu"
2. Select the keyboard layout
3. Select the Wi-Fi SSID
4. Select the software you'd like to install
5. Select "Erase disk and install Ubuntu" as the way to install
6. Select the new SSD as a drive to install Ubuntu
7. Select the timezone
8. Enter a username, password and PC name

After a short wait, the installation is complete.
